Feel free to add to this list. I'll update it periodically as I find more things or people add suggestions.
General Writing Resources
Make sure you check the description of some of these. Some of them have links to more prompt lists they've written in their descriptions.

Springhole has quite the collection of articles. May take a closer look at what it has to say when I have the time.

Their new site layout is more difficult to navigate than their old one (in my opinion) but they really do have an incredible number of resources. Sometimes I'll just play around with their generators out of pure boredom, trying to get the creative juices flowing again. lol

Updated - Size/Height Comparison Tool.
Super useful if you need or want to show your characters' range of height, or need to offer visual representation to a commissioned artist.

Quote:For heights in centimeters, set Feet to 0 and Inches to the measurement in centimeters. Don't mix the two systems, you'll get a wrong result.

This tool helps replace a handful of images I've been half assed stringing together to do basically the same thing.
Thank you for posting this, Luci

I wrote a guest post on someone else's blog about 6 suggestions for world building. It's more abstract though, just some ideas for people to consider, and less specific than most of the advice here, so maybe it's not fitting to include it on the list. I'll let you decide whether it is suitable for your list or not:
6 Points of World Building
(Sorry, you have to scroll past some obnoxious promotion of me to get to the actual list; again, I understand if you think this isn't quite suitable)

Here is another link. https://donjon.bin.sh/
It's mostly tools that you can use when you are hosting RPG games, but there are a lot of things that's useful to writers from a worldbuilding standpoint. At least, somewhere we can start from. It's got a world generator(gives you a fractal map), has name generators and even a calendar generator and my favourite, a random adventure generator - which sort of helps when you're starting to develop a story from scratch.
I don't think I've seen a resource quite like this any where else. Hope it helps.

The Open Road - Colourful action/ Weary protagonist/ Vivid descriptions - My take on what happens after the end of a typical fantasy story.
