Method 1 - Cleaning HTML & Converting to BBCode

I'll break this down into the individual steps so that everyone can easily understand the process. This is how I personally maintain formatting on my chapters, and it takes me maybe 30 seconds at maximum to do - my internet is crap, so sue me. XD

Step 0 - Open HTML Cleaner and BBCode Converter in separate tabs on your browser.
Step 1 - Copy the contents of your chapter.
Step 2 - Paste the contents into the left side of HTML Cleaner. [This is what it looks like.]
These are the cleaning settings I use. (Bottom-left of the page.)
Step 3 - Press the Clean HTML button on the right side of the page. [This is what it looks like.]
Step 4 - Copy the the cleaned HTML from the right side of the page.
Step 5 - Paste the clean HTML into the BBCode converter. [You should have something like this.]
Step 6 - Hit the Submit HTML button.
Step 7 - You should now have something that looks like this.
Step 8 - Paste your converted chapter into RRL!
Step 9 (Optional) - Codes for text size and alignments vary from website to website. If you have scene dividers or text that needs to be centered, you will need to manually fix those within RRL.

Default alignment is left so alignment only needs to be adjusted if text needs to be centered, shoved right, or if you're using justified.

Code:
[align=center]This is centered.[/align]

Code:
[align=right]This is right.[/align]

Code:
[align=justify]This is justified.

Method 2 - Google Docs BBCode Export Add-on

Alternatively, you can upload your chapters into Google Documents and install the BBCode Export Add-on.

Important: Make sure that you actually do have spaces between your paragraphs. Due to the way my Word documents are configured, Google Docs does not recognize that I have paragraphs. It's an easy fix in Google Documents, but tedious if you have long chapters like I do. (Hint: Hit enter at the beginning of each paragraph to separate it further.

Important: Font size tags still don't transfer properly with this method. They use numerical size tags which are massive and they disappear upon editing or previewing the post. You should convert these to RRL sizes.

Important: Alignment tags don't transfer with this method either.

Step 1 - Upload your Chapter into Google Docs. [Once uploaded, you should have something like this.]
Step 2 - Make sure your settings for BBCode Export are the way you want them. [This is what I used for this guide.]
Step 3 - Export your chapter into BBCode. [In case you can't find it, this is where the button is located.]
Step 4a - If your document is paragraphed properly you should have something that looks like this.
Step 4b - If your document is not paragraphed properly, you will need to go back and add paragraphing, then re-export. [The document will look something like this when paragraphs are correct.]**
Step 5 - Paste the BBCode Export of your chapter into RRL.
Step 6 - Fix the alignment and font size tags!

** Note that this issue comes from the paragraph spacing option in Word - Google Docs isn't reading it properly. You can fix this by hitting enter twice at the end of a paragraph instead of once while writing.

Chapter XXII:

‘Damnit.’ I grit my teeth as I lowered my bruised body into the springs of the Werebeast village, ‘So many beasts… Is that what we skipped by flying the rest of the way?’

I failed to bite back a whimper as I sunk into the hot water up to my chin. Spasms ran through my bruised muscles as I tried to relax them. Although I had managed to avoid breaking anything, beasts ramming me and tossing me into things really wasn’t how I wanted to end the day. The smaller beasts in Rilzaan were more intelligent and strong than I wanted to give them credit for.

‘Ugh, at least I can sleep on a bed tonight instead of the ground.’ I pouted as I waded into a deeper portion of the springs, ‘Maybe I should have–’

Seeing as RRL already has Horizontal Lines, if you're using Google Docs, I have the "Replace horizontal lines with:" box, as
Code:
[hr]

Of course, some people might want a more stylized horizontal line, so yeah.

But yeah, I do realize that the paragraph spacing may be an issue, if you're converting from Word to Docs, because the Add On assumes that you're using GDocs's default formatting for styles.

The first option might be a better option for those converting directly from a Word Document.
The second option would need the BBCode export addon to be adapted for MyBB, and account for line-spacing.

Yeah, personally I use it to separate my author's notes from the rest of the chapter, and use this to separate scenes;

Yeah. I briefly browsed around for an easy fix but I didn't find one.

I concur - but I'm biased since my internet is bad, resulting in Google Docs running very, very sluggishly on my PC. Half the time I can't get add-ons to load for me (yes, my internet is that bad.)

MALEFICENCE

If you're going to do it, then you might as well be the best at it.

That's why, everything else is cold comfort. I'll claim this unforgiving world.

What, the Lorum Ipsum text? Your quote got messed up heavily so I'm not sure if that's what you're asking.

It's dummy text used by the typesetting industry, and it's in Latin.

When I'm posting examples or testing out formatting on websites, I use this Lorum Ipsum generator - http://www.lipsum.com/
