My ongoing web novel Jake and the Dynamo (which is up here) was originally meant to have a couple of different covers, but the second one didn't work out. Since there are clearly some talented artists here, I'd like to see if anyone is interested in producing a new cover for the story.

I'd like to have something I can use not only on RRL, but off-site as well, so I'm willing to discuss reasonable monetary compensation.

The cover I have now is meant to be light, corny, and cartoony, so I'd like to have something that's a little darker in tone and less cartoonish in execution (and also that works when shrunk to thumbnail size, which my present art doesn't).

There are two main protagonists who should feature on the cover. The first is Jake Blatowski, age fourteen, who's somewhat dark in complexion and scruffy-haired. He generally wears ordinary street clothes, but "ordinary" like he's stuck in the Eighties, with baggy pants and a denim jacket.

The second is Pretty Dynamo, who's eleven years old, pale, with curly blue pigtails. She wears an electric blue powder puff tutu, silver and gold vambraces and greaves, and a cuirass that leaves her midriff exposed. No, really. She carries an electrified spear and a shield, and is meant to resemble something like a magical girl version of a Greek hoplite.
