I am a concept artist and illustrator with 7 years of freelance experience making graphics for games, novels, and commercial use such as logos and advertising.
Art requires constant study to gain insights into different ways to approach a problem to make a piece much like a mathematician comes up with several formulas to solve a problem. No two artists are alike in style or process because of the different insights each has gained while striving to improve themselves. I love art because what I make is my own that is hard to repeat by others unless I make a step by step guide to my insights.

I find it hard to believe you've been in the industry 7 years when there are some perspective bits wrong and so few pictures... and lack of previous jobs specified, unless self taught then good job.
btw, here's the deviantart with juicy details http://luneder.deviantart.com/gallery/
Maby you haven't met our lord and saviour feng zhu, check out his video on portfolio building.

it is a new portfolio site so I am still working on it, and as for Feng Zhu he isn't that well liked because he is an asshole. He hired a bunch of artists to work on a project brought them to Singapore then did not pay them , did not provide housing as promised, and then tried to make them pay him to work on his project. After talking to one of the people he did this to he has been on my shit list ever since. Also 90% of the stuff he gloats about doing is a lie so do not take anything he says seriously especially the Starwars stuff since all of the concept he gave for those projects were rejected.
A friend of mine had went to Singapore for a convention there a few years ago and met Feng Zhu at that convention, his impression of him was not that great he had this disdain for other artists to the point he would refuse to shake hands with them unless they were people who were famous.
