I'm new to the site but 1 story seemed cool so I made an account - mostly to keep track of reading progress which seems to me the single most basic feature having an account would provide.

I've seen I can add works to my bookmarks and favorites and w/e, but as far as I can tell the site doesn't keep track of what chapter was last viewed.  it should be easy to have this update whenever you click 'next chapter' but I don't see this being done at all. FAQ is very unhelpful as well, with most entries in the help section not even having been written. tried searching the forum too but no results on 'progress tracking' so maybe I'm just being blind.

is this really a missing feature or do I not see how this is done? I can hardly believe this site wouldn't have such a basic feature having grown used to it from sites like novelupdates, MAL and every manga-reading site ever.

Not yet, sadly. It's quite high up on our list of priorities though. I might as well get started on it, like, right now.

UPDATE: There you have it. Last chapter you've opened saved on the server, replaces the "start reading" button on the fiction's page.
