This is my first try at LitRPG after being a gamer all my life and a reader and writer of fantasy / sci fi.  A Player in the Greenwood is based on my very emotional experiences in the PVP MUD of Avalon, and I have never got back the thrill in another game.  I'm just too old and my reflexes too slow now to play without being canned every time I log on.  I've modified the Avalon game mechanics by adding a lot of D&D and particularly Dungeons and Dragons Online.  There may also be some Skyrim/Elder Scrolls mechanics too.

I would love to do a LitRPG within a Call of Cthulhu world, but I guess Chaosium would sue.  Also, there was a fantastic old video game called Darklands set in the Holy Roman Empire/Germany in the middle ages that used Saints relics and the medieval church beliefs as a basis for the magic system.

Anyway, tell me what you think about a Player in the Greenwood.  It's got no crafting really I should say.  I hope to improve it by editing.
