WC's Mutual Reviews 2.0

#1
Once upon a time, when the forums were less dead than they are right now, I made a review swap thread that worked out pretty well for everyone involved!

First, know that I consider RRl an amateur writing site (mostly because I myself am an amateur writer) so my reviews take into account the author's background (e.g. non-native english speaker, young, first time writer etc.) and I focus mainly on providing constructive criticism, and consider ratings relatively unimportant except for attracting larger audiences.

tl;dr I give long reviews but rate like most people on the site.

That being said, if you want to get a free review, you'll have to write one for me too!
The story I am currently working on has around a hundred pages or so, so it is incredibly tiny and should be easy to read and review quickly. Honest feedback and criticism appreciated!

Here's the link: Pagebreak

Here's the queue:
wilberforce
pink.ish
necrophedius
heaven dream
(queue is closed)

P.s. if you have a longer story that you want to get reviewed, please note that I may not read all of it for my review but will make that clear in my review.

Oh I'm interested! I actually read a lot of your other story too a couple months back, so I'd be happy to check out your new one. It'd be cool to have someone do a review on my thing too, I don't have any yet x)

Anyway I'll start reading yours now - I'll get a review up by  tomorrow night at the latest, I'll try to get it done now though.

e: my story called Once More

e2: I did a review - actually really enjoyed Pagebreak, added it to my bookmarks liked it better than re:write.

Sure thing! You're on top of the queue! I'll send you a PM soon, too. The link to mine is here: Pagebreak | RoyalRoadL

Thanks for participating!

Here's mine: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/12313/the-undying-prince. I believe you read few chapter of it a while ago, but this is the rewrite. Just hold off on reviewing for the next couple days, I just have to finish rewriting the last three chapters of Arc 3.

Oh yeah, I think I remember! I think you hadn't posted a lot of chapters then and we decided to postpone it or something, or I could be remembering incorrectly.

Just let me know when the rewrites are done and I'll do your review asap!

Hi,

I actually have two stories (both of the same series and heavily related as one is the prequel of the other). But you can read just the first few chapters of the second volume without fearing to lose anything. It may actually be a good experience if you come back and read the first novel in its entirely later (just don't finish the second one, which is still ongoing then the first one).

First volume: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/5921/tales-of-astora-legacy-finished

Second volume: http://royalroadl.com/fiction/12018/tales-of-astora-insurrection

I will read yours when you confirm back :).

Yes, I am still doing this! It's been slow because I always like giving a lot of time to the stories I'm reviewing. Thanks so much for participating, I'll add you to the queue!

Oh, so you don't want me to read the second one? Should I just give you a review on the first one? .-.
I'll add you to the queue as soon as you clarify :P Mb, for not understanding tho

Nah it was me who was not clear enough. The review for the first one only would be fine ;). The second volume maybe if the story interests you and you intend to finish the first one too. Hope I am clear this time.
