What do these titles have in common?

What do these titles have in common?
Will of the strong
Arnar the dungeon
The kingdom of the dead
Equilibriam
I suppose I can't use the spoiler icon, so I'll give the answer.
All of them received a special promotion on the site and all of them are now discontinued.

Huh? I don't understand what you're getting at.
A special promotion? You mean like they were on the front page rotation or something?
Stories on this site die all the time. It's a sad but true fact. Writers lose interest or free time and move on to other things. I'll agree it really sucks when a good story gets dropped though.

Agreed. This isn't a major publishing house with contracts and obligations. As nice as it would be, we'd likely have far less stories to choose from if authors went in with the knowledge that they'd be forced to finish their work or be penalized.
The situation clearly reflects that of humanity in general. We're so distracted by life's other aspects that we oftentimes overextend or float away from previous tasks, hell, even a few centuries ago when less of that was true, I bet people still dropped books mid-creation. I remember someone saying or writing something along the lines of, "If it was easy, everyone would do it." .

lol, That is one hell of deductive conclusion you have going there.

The fact is that my fiction has amassed 61,500 words and 29 chapters over the course of 7 months.
It has not received any special promotion, like the guys who write something like 10 chapters in ten days and get 1,100 followers.

Saturation makes their content seem more dense than it is. That kind of breakneck pace can kill an author if done from brain-to-page-to-post immediately. A much smarter choice would be to create a large backlog and release at a relatively fast pace to achieve the same effect without letting burnout settle over you like a pall.
You can also solicit reviews (either mutually or otherwise) put your work elsewhere for greater exposure (Sufficient Velocity, Muse Success, Spacebattles) and add a link to your fic in your signature for every forum that will tolerate it. As an independent, one person against a sea of slush and shark-like competitors you have to do everything in your power to make your diamonds shine too brightly to be glanced over.
Your fic looks neat, too. I've been looking for a long read. I'll add it to my review list.
