I don't remember much about it but it's about a kid who's abandoned in an alley and is taken care of by a hobo. The hobo dies a couple years later and the kid buries him outside the city and dies from hypothermia and is a soul is transferred to another world into a body of a boy similar to his age. The boy has a rusty black knife that gets stronger over the journey and he has a pet wolf. He lives in the forest for a while with his wolf getting stronger and moving to the city. sorry, it's all I can remember.
