Pref. on RRL, but doesn't have to be. Think of like Dragon's Wrath and The Land and you should get my meaning. The person creates a village, then ranks up into like a city or whatever, etc. etc. etc. Also really like it when the MC has NPC soldiers :P

The three quality Kingdom building stories I've come across are these:

Tales of the Reincarnated Lord on liberspark (unfortunately dropped by the author two-thirds into the story)
 Rise of the Lord here on RRL
Release That Witch on Qidian (reincarnation - hot weapons in medieval ages)

There is also Atros imperium here on RLL if you don't mind the slow release rate. (If you don't like the Romance tag, this isn't your cup of tea)

I've come across others as well, but they're mostly mental garbage that I'd never recommend to anyone.
