RE: Copy Pasting from Microsoft Word 2016 Problem

Not sure if this is the same thing, but I often find it useful to paste using ctrl+shift+v instead of just ctrl+v:
It seems to get rid of formatting and paste it exactly as the target text's formatting is.

For example, if your text you are copying has a font of Verdana and a size of 12, with bold, and paste it into a google doc or something with Ubuntu and a size of 10, plaintext, the copied text will remove bolding and even the size and the font and conform specifically to the Ubuntu size 10 and plaintext.

Not sure if this will help, but it might work, and ctrl+shift+v is always useful no matter the circumstances.
