Question regarding trending fictions

How do you become part of the trending fiction? There is something odd I noticed about one of the rending fictions:

Compared with the other trending fictions, Code Jumper is an oddity. How did a story with so little stats become a trending fiction? Is trending fiction based total views than followers and ratings?
On a side note, how do I link my novel in my signature?

On your side note, to change your signature go to your icon -> user account -> change signature. From there click on the icon that looks like a chain, when you hover over it, it will say 'insert link.' Click it and then add your novel link.

Yeah. That's interesting.
I've seen him market it on various sites, maybe he posted it to a new community and a bunch of people decided to check out his link.
